This is the first post for the spanking brand new “GOOD COFFEE BLOG” like everything we do in Randall Coffee Roasters we approach this task in a artisan, handmade and loving way. But where to begin… what to say… how to say it… all I really now is that it’s honestly a dream to be at this point, after having visualized it so many times and after investing all my efforts in making this project see the light, and now suddenly, It’s done! It’s happened!
This site needed to reflect the basics in order to understand what specialty coffee is and be helpful for anyone, where they could just read through and automatically have some solid basic guidelines to jumpstart them into the quality coffee culture. It’s primary purpose is to open the window, unlock the door, break down the walls… so we can shine light on what is hidden for so long for so many people, myself included, that there is life beyond the “coffee & milk” with charred and flat flavours that we intake daily every morning just to pick ourselves up. I want people to enjoy coffee for it’s spectacular taste and what is essential is to really get the knowledge out to the maximum number of people we can, it’s our goal. That’s why the whole web site had to be easy to navigate, intuitive, entertaining and informative. If you think it is so, please go ahead and tell me! If not, please tell me also.
But it is true, you’re not the same when you have been exposed to specialty coffees, you will not just see coffee differently, you will see all your daily-life values stumble and you will understand the economic interests that really move the world, in a very different way than what at first we may think. There are things that are right under our noses but we don’t see them as they are but as they have always been presented to us. Changing the ethos of an entire society is not at all easy and takes time but especially it needs to be motivated by something very important that sparks interest … trends do this. Hopefully the fad will bring change, but there is no doubt that the strong foundations of a well established culture, that specialty coffee has, will allow it to establish itself as an important niche in the market.
This is the first post and I can assure you that it’s the worst, the less coherent and most boring one of all that will come!
